At First Presbyterian Church we seek to live our lives in conformity with the standards of Scripture as seen through the eyes of faith and grace, and experienced with a heart of mercy and compassion.
We are a congregation which is deeply rooted in our tradition of faith, and are always striving to develop a ministry which addresses and embraces the people who are confronted by a frantic, demanding, hurting, exhausting, and often violent world.
We truly seek to be a place where one can encounter the reality of Christ’s love and grace, and hope you will join us.
Loose change offerings for October will be given to New Directions Battered Women’s Shelter. Larger contributions can be given in the offering plate by writing “Mission” on a check memo or envelope.
Christian Education News! Beginning October 16, at 6:30p, a study in the Beatitudes of Jesus will be shared on Wednesday evenings led by Susan Diekman and Steve Brock. The study will continue through November 20.
Don’t forget “Fill a Bag, Feed a Friend.” The need for sack lunch supplies is ongoing as the number of persons being served by this important outreach has grown across the months. Any item(s) that you can provide from the list helps us maintain a ready supply of lunches for those in need. Please note that the blue bag is simply a way of calling attention to this mission and is not required to participate. If you have questions or need more specific information regarding the needs, please speak to the pastor or the office.
