At First Presbyterian Church we seek to live our lives in conformity with the standards of Scripture as seen through the eyes of faith and grace, and experienced with a heart of mercy and compassion.
We are a congregation which is deeply rooted in our tradition of faith, and are always striving to develop a ministry which addresses and embraces the people who are confronted by a frantic, demanding, hurting, exhausting, and often violent world.
We truly seek to be a place where one can encounter the reality of Christ’s love and grace, and hope you will join us.
Loose change offerings for January will be given to Christian Family Counseling. Larger contributions can be given in the offering plate by writing “Mission” on a check memo or envelope.
As you ring in the New Year remember our homebound by sending a cheerful card, making a phone call or a visit to let them know they are loved and cared for. Your thoughtful expression can make all the difference for someone who is no longer able to participate in the church’s seasonal activities and worship opportunities.
Thank you, First Presbyterian Church and the FPC Men’s Club for sharing with staff at Christmas. The Staff Appreciation Breakfast was a treat and your generous gift is sincerely appreciated by each one of us. God bless you all in the New Year! -FPC Staff
A word of gratitude to all of you who shared poinsettias in honor and in memory of your loved ones. The poinsettias enhanced our worship space and opened our hearts to God’s love during the Advent/Christmas season.
A special word of thanks to those individuals and families who assisted with candle lighting during the Advent Season: Jane Hardin, Theeda and Arnold Jones, Brenda Scarborough, Carolyn and Bob Glasco, Beth Garrett, Jennifer Hoffman, Cooper Morrow, and Carlos Irizarry.
